Are you overwhelmed by the thought of meal prep and donβt know know where to start?
Is it unrealistic to think youβre going to prepare every meal for your whole week, so you end up not doing any at all?
Do you not want to spend your whole Sunday meal prepping?? (I TOTALLY get that!)
SO, how do you not do all those things above and still be organised??Β
Β Well, first of all, you MUST have a meal plan, and you must have done your grocery shopping and have all the ingredients you need for the week.Β
Β Secondly, just pick the ONE meal that you KNOW you MUST prepare in order to make a healthy choice, and do that!!
For me itβs lunches, if I want to guarantee I eat a healthy, balanced lunch with protein, lots of veg and a healthy carb, I know I must have my lunch pre-prepared. So this is the one dish I meal prep on a Sunday.

The other thing I do is cook enough meals for 2 dinners a few times per week so that I am not cooking every single night, and I plan these for nights when I know I will be late home from work.
Β Each time youβre in the kitchen preparing a meal, ask yourself, βwhat preparation could I do right now, that is going to help me be organised for another meal? βEg:- when chopping veg for dinner, chop veg for your breakfast omelette, place on a plate in the fridge and simply tip into your pan in the morning. β when making dinner, ensure your lunch is all ready to go. If not, do you need to whip up a salad, while you already have the veg out of the fridge? Can you cook some extra meat?- when making breakfast, can you prepare double or put some ingredients aside for tomorrow? Eg oats for your overnight oats, smoothie ingredients in a bowl etc etc.
Β Which of these meal prep tips could you add in to your routine to make your week easier, and ensure you are more likely to make healthy choices and stick to your meal plan??
