Grab a few mates as it’s time for a road trip to the picturesque Southern Grampians region for the Hamilton Throwdown.

Saturday (23rd of September) is a one day (3 wod + final) individual competition for the beginner to intermediate level athlete.

Sunday (24th of September) is also a one dayer (3 wod + final) for the beginner to intermediate level athletes, but is a same sex pairs competition.

Both days will include an Open, Masters 35-44 & Masters 45+ division.

Individual: $70
Pairs: $130 per team


This is a genuine beginner/intermediate competition. Our aim to provide a fun competition where literally anyone with novice CrossFit exerience can come and throwdown with mates.

While the finishing touches are yet to be put to the workouts, the movement standards below are what we’re expecting will be required to do the workouts Rx.

That said, if you’re not able to do any of these movements, rest easy – we’ve got your back. Each of these movements will have scalings or substitutions that will allow everyone to compete (you may have to perform a few extra reps of the scaled option, but we’ll explain how these work when specific workouts are announced).

Open and Masters 35-44
– Double Unders
– Rope Climb
– Toes to Bar
– Pull ups
– Clean & Jerk (M=70kg, F=45kg)
– Power Snatch (M=50kg, F=30kg)
– Deadlift (M=100kg, F=65kg)

Masters 45+
– Double Unders
– Rope Climb
– Pull Ups
– Clean & Jerk (M=60kg, F=35kg)
– Power Snatch (M=40kg, F=25kg)
– Deadlift (M=80kg, F=50kg)
